ORANGEVILLE TEAM Holmes Agro flag in green

ORANGEVILLE TEAM

Conveniently located just 2 miles west of Orangeville in Southern Dufferin County is the Orangeville location, our head office site. Since its founding in 1995, the Orangeville location has gone through significant changes including: increased dry fertilizer bulk storage, addition of multiple liquid bulk tanks, bulk water tanks, new crop protection and seed warehouses, and a larger office space. The new fertilizer bulk storage was completed in spring of 2024, and has capacity to hold 7000+ metric tonne of fertilizer with improved storage conditions to enhance quality. This increased capacity helps support the new automated blender and tower system, increasing our ability to meet our customers needs faster and more efficiently. A variety of services operate out of the Orangeville site, including custom fertilizer application, custom crop protection application and bulk fertilizer delivery.

Within Orangeville’s office there is a fully fitted agronomy centre to provide consulting services for row crop, horticultural crop and livestock operations. The agronomy team at Orangeville has 5 agronomists with a range of crop specialties and farming backgrounds. 3 of the 5 members of the team are Certified Crop Advisors.

REDICKVILLE Holmes Agro flag in green

Located in the heart of Dufferin County and potato country, the Redickville site has been key fixture in the community over the years. The original site located on 20 sideroad featured a simple set up with a fertilizer tower, 3 storage bins, small pesticide storage building, and office set up. In 2015 we were able to secure a new piece of property on Dufferin Road 124 and begin the process of planning and constructing a brand-new facility which opened for business in April of 2016.

The current infrastructure allows Holmes Agro to service the areas growing needs with increased blending capacity, more storage capabilities for fertilizer, seed, and crop protection products. Our office space has grown since the original construction with a recent second story addition in 2022/2023. There is a full time staff of 4 with 3 Certified Crop Advisors on site.

STAYNER Holmes Agro flag in green

Holmes Agro embarked on an expansion journey in 2003, with the purchase of our location just 5 minutes east of Stayner in Clearview Township. Initially staffed by only 2 individuals, our team has since grown to include over 20 seasonal staff and 9 full-time staff, all of whom possess a passion for agriculture. Our location has a dedicated Agronomy team of 5, with 3 of them being Certified Crop Advisors.

Our facility began with a modest storage capacity of 450 tonnes for dry fertilizer, housed in 2 silos. Subsequent silo expansions allowed us to increase the overall storage capacity to 1200 tonnes. Recognizing the growing needs of our customers, we began the construction of our state- of-the-art dry fertilizer storage building and tower in 2018. This expansion has since brought our storage capacity to 5000+ tonnes, ensuring we can provide exceptional service to our growers.

Over the years, we have made several other additions to our location to enhance our services. These include the continued upgrades to application equipment, the addition of seed storage, expansion of our office space, and the construction of a workshop area and wash bay.   We take pride in our continuous efforts to evolve and improve, which has enabled us to better serve our customers, adopt progressive agricultural practices, and enhance our commitment to environmental stewardship.
