We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual eager to gain hands-on experience in customer service, agronomy, and crop scouting. In this dynamic role, you’ll split your time between supporting growers, assisting agronomists, and evaluating crops in the field, gaining valuable exposure to all aspects of an agricultural retail operation. From identifying weeds, diseases, and insect pressures to communicating with customers and supporting seasonal operations, you’ll develop practical skills that directly impact grower success. With mentorship from experienced agronomy professionals, on-the-job training, and opportunities to expand your technical and communication skills, this position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the agriculture industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to walk-in customers, phone inquiries, and email communications.
  • Assist customers with product information, order processing, and general inquiries.
  • Support agronomists with customer communication, follow-up activities, and administrative tasks.
  • Conduct crop scouting activities, including identifying weeds, diseases, insect pressure, and crop development stages.
  • Record field observations accurately and communicate findings to the agronomy team.
  • Assist with field trials, sampling, and other agronomic projects as required.
  • Support warehouse and retail operations, including receiving, organizing, and preparing products for customer pickup and delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with inventory management and seasonal operational activities.
  • Work collaboratively with customers, suppliers, and team members to support grower success.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an agriculture, agribusiness, crop technology, or related program.
  • Passionate about agriculture and eager to learn in a hands-on environment.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new technology and systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work extended seasonal hours and perform outdoor field work.

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Seasonal, Full-Time
  • Work Location: In Person, Orangeville Location.
  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; with extended hours during peak seasons
  • Wage: $19-$21/hr
  • Vacancy Status: Future (Mid April 2027 – Sept 3 2027 )
