Build Your Skills in Agronomy and Agricultural Operations!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual eager to gain hands-on experience in both crop scouting and agricultural operations. In this dynamic role, you’ll split your time between the field and the warehouse, helping monitor crop performance while supporting the movement of crop protection products, seed, and fertilizer. You’ll work alongside experienced agronomists and operations professionals, developing practical skills in crop staging, pest and disease identification, inventory management, logistics, and customer service. With ongoing training, mentorship, and exposure to multiple areas of the business, this position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow a long-term career in agriculture.

Responsibilities

  • Ship and receive crop protection products, seed, and liquid fertilizer
  • Maintain accurate inventory and perform regular cycle counts
  • Support daily warehouse operations, including organization, cleanliness, and safety
  • Conduct crop scouting activities throughout the season, including:
    • Monitoring crop growth stages and field conditions
    • Identifying weeds, pests, and disease pressure
    • Recording and reporting field observations
    • Supporting agronomy team with timely, accurate field insights
  • Participate in field visits with agronomists to gain hands-on agronomy experience
  • Provide a high level of customer service in a professional and approachable manner
  • Complete required paperwork accurately (receiving, shipping, and customer documentation)
  • Organize products for application fleet, sprayers, seed tenders, and seasonal deliveries
  • Support other areas of the facility and team as needed throughout the season

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
  • Interest in agriculture, agronomy, or warehouse operations
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to work extended hours during peak seasonal periods
  • Ability to safely lift up to 25 kg
  • Forklift experience or willingness to be trained (on-site training provided)
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Seasonal, Full-Time
  • Work Location: In Person, Orangeville Location.
  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; with extended hours during peak seasons
  • Wage: $19-$21/hr
  • Vacancy Status: Future (Mid April 2027 – Sept 3 2027 )
