This hands-on internship provides the opportunity to support seed and crop protection logistics, assist with inventory management, and work directly with agronomists conducting crop scouting activities. From monitoring crop growth and field conditions to preparing products for seasonal operations, you’ll develop practical skills and industry knowledge that will serve as a strong foundation for a future career in agronomy, ag retail, or agricultural operations.
Responsibilities
- Ship and receive crop protection products, seed, and liquid fertilizer
- Maintain accurate inventory and perform regular cycle counts
- Support daily warehouse operations, including organization, cleanliness, and safety
- Conduct crop scouting activities throughout the season, including:
- Monitoring crop growth stages and field conditions
- Identifying weeds, pests, and disease pressure
- Recording and reporting field observations
- Supporting agronomy team with timely, accurate field insights
- Participate in field visits with agronomists to gain hands-on agronomy experience
- Provide a high level of customer service in a professional and approachable manner
- Complete required paperwork accurately (receiving, shipping, and customer documentation)
- Organize products for application fleet, sprayers, seed tenders, and seasonal deliveries
- Support other areas of the facility and team as needed throughout the season
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
- Interest in agriculture, agronomy, or warehouse operations
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work extended hours during peak seasonal periods
- Ability to safely lift up to 25 kg
- Forklift experience or willingness to be trained (on-site training provided)
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Job Details
- Employment Type: Seasonal, Full-Time
- Work Location: In Person, Orangeville Location.
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; with extended hours during peak seasons
- Wage: $19-$21/hr
- Vacancy Status: Future (Mid April 2027 – Sept 3 2027 )
