Holmes Agro is seeking motivated and dynamic individuals to join our team:
Operations Manager
The position will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage daily plant and warehouse operations including fertilizer blending, bagging, and logistics, ensuring equipment functionality and operational reliability.
- Provide direct support for Housekeeping, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of mechanical systems and plant equipment to minimize downtime.
- Coach and support staff to meet performance goals and foster a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Lead shrink reduction initiatives, reconciliation processes, and cycle counts.
- Support planning and execution of facility upgrades and equipment investments, including technical evaluations.
- Drive seasonal and full-time hiring, performance reviews, and personalized development plans.
- Lead safety programs, inspections, and emergency response planning.
- Ensure responsible facility operations and liaise with partners on sustainability initiatives.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management with agricultural background is an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with forklift and loader and mechanical systems; comfortable working at heights; ability to troubleshoot and support maintenance activities.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial processes such as fertilizer blending and bagging.
- Knowledge of inventory systems, H&S regulations, and environmental standards.
